On TikTok, there have been many variations on the creation, but one user is completely obsessed with the tasty snack and says using this method will create the perfect crunchy creation.

The self-proclaimed Toastie King has made many variations of the classic dish, from using Wotsits, Gregg’s sausage rolls to pigs in blankets, but one hack, in particular, has gone viral with over 800k views.
The cook from Scotland revealed his favourite way to create a cheese toastie and it’s all about where you put the cheese.
The toastie king shared that adding a layer of cheese to your toastie machine creates the perfect crispy toast, without the bread burning.
First, add a layer of cheese to the bottom of the toastie machine and let it melt for a couple of minutes before adding your bread.
Then you can add whichever fillings you want and add another slice of bread.
Allow the top piece of bread to toast for a few minutes and then add another layer of cheese and allow it to cook again for a few minutes.

The result is a crispy toastie on the outside with a gooey cheese middle.
Although the toastie king claims the creation is ‘bussing’ some users were divided about the idea and the thought of trying to clean the toastie machine after would be too much of a chore.
One wrote: “And then spend two weeks trying to clean it off.”
Another user said: “And never be able to scrape it off.”
But the toastie king assured users that as long as your machine wasn’t scratched it is easy to come off as the oil from the cheese makes it easy to wipe down.
