TikToker Matthew Lesky, shared the secret code hidden in the Aldi signs that shoppers need to know to bag the best buys.
He uploaded the post to his 250k followers with the caption: “How to Read ALDI Signs!”
In the video, Matthew gives viewers the inside scoop about the three different types of signs you will see as your browse the store. Here’s the breakdown…

Yellow signs
The standard yellow signs that you see with the food price indicate a regular product that will be in store for some time.
Matthew said: “That means it’s a normal item.”

‘Seasonal item’ yellow signs
These items are ones that often will only be on the shelves for a short time.
Matthew said: “That means this product is only going to be around for about six months, give or take a few months.”
He also advised that there are usually a lot of these “seasonal items” in the baking section.
Red ‘Aldi finds’ signs
These are the ones to look out for as even the staff don’t know how long this item will be on the shelves and how many they will be stocking, so if you see something you like, act fast.
Matthew said: “This is the number one question I get: ‘Are you going to get those back in?’ The short answer: ‘No.’

“There’s no way to order these items, no way to tell how many we’ll get, or if we’re going to get them at all. They just kinda show up.”
The “D” on some signs
Some of the signs have a number on followed by the letter D, and this indicates that the item arrived in the shop frozen.
Matthew said: “The number signifies how many days it’s good for once we thaw it.
“So, if you’re ever looking for the newest or the freshest, you can keep that in mind.”
He explained that the ‘seasonal items’ will only be in stock for six months or so[/caption]
