New Delhi, Jahangirpari has once again come up against the incident of stoning. According to the information received, the accused threw stones at the wife of the accused when she reached there to take him into custody.
Officers from the crime branch were injured in the incident. The case was being investigated by the Delhi Police till now but now the investigation has been handed over to the Crime Branch.
Earlier, violence erupted in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on April 16 on the day of Hanuman Jayanti. So far 21 people have been arrested in connection with the violence. In addition, two minors have also been taken into custody.
However, the woman was taken into custody by the Crime Branch team even after she was stoned. According to the information received, the wife of Sonu, who is seen shooting in the video, has been arrested by the police and taken away for questioning.
Accused Sonu is currently absconding and lives in C block of Jahangirpur. His mother said that there was a quarrel between Hindus and Muslims in Jahangirpuri that day and in the meanwhile when the Bajrang Dal arrived they fired in anger. His entire family is from West Bengal.
