New Delhi, In IPL 202, a very tug-of-war match was played against Gujarat and Punjab. The thrill of the match lasted till the last ball. Gujarat needed 16 runs in the last 4 balls and Rahul Tevatia was present at the crease.
At one time it seemed that it would be difficult for Gujarat to win. But Rahul Tewatia hit two sixes off two balls to seal the victory for Punjab. Cricket fans were shocked by these two sixes of Rahul Tevatia and called him a brilliant finisher. Not only that, but cricket fans also praised Rahul Tewatia.
In the match against Punjab, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Punjab lost 4 wickets at the end of 20 overs and scored 17 runs.
From Punjab, Liam Livingstone played an explosive innings of 3 runs off 4 balls. Shubhaman Gill gave a great start to the Gujarat team that came down to chase the run. Miller and captain Hardik Pandya got out of the fray when they were run out in the 18th over after Gill was out and Pandya was also out and then Rahul Tevatia came to the crease.
Gujarat needed 18 runs to win in the 18th over. The first ball was wide, with Pandya being run out on the latter. After which Tevatia took 1 run on the second ball, Miller hit four on the third ball.
And on the fourth ball, Miller took a run and gave the strike to Tevatia. Now Gujarat needed two runs off two balls to win. And Tevatia was on strike. All eyes were on Tevatia, whether he could hit two sixes or not.
However, Tevatia showed his strength by hitting a brilliant six in the deep mid wicket on the fifth ball. After which the thrill of the match reached its climax. On the final ball of the 19th over, Tevatia came out of the wicket on the right side and hit a six in a superb cow corner.
