Shimla, After its two successful rallies in Himachal Pradesh, the Aam Aadmi Party, which formed the government in Punjab, has started building an organizational structure at the grassroots level.
The leadership in the state is very excited about the response you have received. Whether it’s a road show in Mandi or a Kangda rally, the way the crowds gathered at your rally is without any organizational structure. This may be a warning to the Congress and the BJP, but it is no less than a lifeline for the AAP leaders.
In the changing political climate, Aam Aadmi Party is emerging as a new political force in the state. This force has come in the face of BJP. Thus the Aam Aadmi Party has appointed Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain in charge of the Himachal elections. Bipan Rai has been posted with him.
While Durgesh Pathak will take charge. Ratnesh Gupta and Karamjit Singh Rintu and Kulwant Bath have been made co-incumbents. Deepak Bali is the media in-charge of the party. These people are very active nowadays.
In addition to the state politicians, the Aam Aadmi Party is in touch with former bureaucrats to form the organizational structure in the state. For this, the leaders of Punjab have been fielded.
The AAP has fielded its leaders in Kangra and Una districts adjoining the state of Punjab. Kangra, the largest district in the state, has 12 assembly constituencies, while Una has five seats. Both the districts are adjacent to Punjab. This is the reason why many MLAs who have recently won in Punjab have settled in Himachal.
These MLAs have opened offices for themselves in both the districts. The law will remain in Himachal till the end of this year. These people are also traveling to know the pulse of the people.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Goldie Kamboj, who won the election from Jalalabad in Punjab, has been given the responsibility of 12 seats in Kangra district. While Sahnewal’s AAP MLA Hardeep Singh has been given the responsibility of five constituencies in Una district. Health Minister Satyendra Jain and AAP leader Durgesh Pathak are monitoring the political campaign in Himachal.
On the one hand, Satyendra Jain is in touch with AAP leaders from other parties. At the same time, Durgesh Pathak is strengthening the party’s reach among the people through social media.
Thus the Aam Aadmi Party is eyeing the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections to be held later this year. So far, the Congress and the BJP have been the main parties in the hill state, but the Aam Aadmi Party is trying to emerge as an alternative to the BJP and the Congress party in the state. In this episode, Aam Aadmi Party has announced to field candidates for all the 6 seats in Himachal Pradesh.
