New Delhi,A video of a nurse dancing with her husband after losing her leg in a landmine blast in Ukraine has gone viral. The video was shot at a hospital in Lviv, where the two were married. Oksana Balinda, 4, set foot on a landmine on March 9 while walking with her husband Victor in her hometown of Lisichansk in the Luhansk region. Oksana lost her foot and four fingers of her left hand when the landmine exploded.
The couple were on a familiar path when the incident happened, according to the Lviv Medical Association. The LMA further stated that just seconds before the explosion, Oksana warned Victor that Victor had survived. Oksana underwent four surgeries after being taken to Nipro. According to Sky News, after her wound healed, doctors began preparing her limbs for prosthetics. She arrived in Lviv four days ago for a prosthetic fitting procedure.

In this western Ukrainian city, both Oksana and Victor decided to get married. A video of the two dancing was captured on camera by a hospital volunteer. This beautiful footage shows Victor hugging Oksana. The video was also shared on Twitter by the Ukrainian parliament, featuring a “very special love story”, the Lviv Medical Association says “life should not be postponed for later” decided by Oksana and Victor who have been in the last six years. The association bought a wedding ring for the couple and a white dress for Oksana. The cake was prepared by volunteers at the hospital. The wedding took place in the ward of the surgery center. The couple is preparing to move to Germany after the wedding. Oksana is expected to be fitted with an artificial leg
