The speculative absence of Fadnavis in the celebrations held by the party in Teva on Friday has given rise to many speculations.

Fadnavis had earlier announced that he would not be involved in the new government, but he was later sworn in as deputy CM along with Eknath Shinde. People close to Fadnavis are claiming that the state is getting a special two-day assembly session on July 3, which they could not attend as they were busy preparing for it.
However, political pundits who are monitoring the situation in Maharashtra are not ready to believe this. Fadnavis will not be involved in the BJP’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad.
Sources close to him are claiming that Fadnavis will not be able to go to Hyderabad as the special session of the Assembly is also scheduled to be held in this period.
There is talk of Fadnavis being behind the unexpected upheaval in Maharashtra politics. Fadnavis is denied to have played a key role in the Shiv Sena uprising.
When Uddhav Thackeray resigned, it was decided that Fadnavis would be the new CM, but when Fadnavis himself announced that Eknath Shinde would be the new CM, there was surprise in Maharashtra’s political circles. In 2012, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance broke down in the tug-of-war over the CM post.
The Shiv Sena had sought the CM’s seat for two-and-a-half years, but the BJP was not ready to compromise and the years-old alliance between the two parties finally broke down and a coalition government of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress was formed in Maharashtra.
It may be mentioned that Uddhav Thackeray, who made Shinde the CM, had also made a statement that if the BJP had listened to the Shiv Sena in 2014, it would have had the CM’s chair today. NCP chief Sharad Pawar did not hesitate to make fun of Fadnavis, who lost the CM’s chair for the second time.
