Announcing the Second Edition of EVangelise, aimed at solving real-world challenges in the EV industry
Gujarat State Industry Minister Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma launching iCreate (International Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology) EVangelise ’22 at Ahmedabad
In partnership with Startup India and CII – COE for Innovation, India’s leading innovation based startup incubator, EVangelise ’22 – India’s largest EV Innovation Challenge was launched by Gujarat State Minister for Industries Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma.
ICreate’s EVangelise 2022 aims to put India on the global EV map as well as solve industry-critical problems as a leader in developing clean, low-cost, innovative technologies.
In addition to identifying the next generation of innovators in the EV sub-components segment, EVangelise 2022, with the participation of industry leaders from NitiAyog, BPCL, Dassault System India Pvt Ltd, MyByk will explore opportunities to create solutions in the areas of battery safety and EV infrastructure.
Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma said that Gujarat is one of the most battery powered two-wheelers in the country. Which creates an ideal environment for businesses to invest in EV production in the state. They said. He further added that,
The Gujarat state government is giving more impetus to demand, with double the amount of subsidy on EVs than other states. iCreate’s EVangelise Innovation Challenge will help the industry use indigenous technology.
He further added that EVangelise’22 is open to individual researchers, startups, students, researchers and EV enthusiasts.
This challenge will witness the participation of some of the leading players in the industry, and will help in the development by exchanging their mentor support and strategic partnership with the researchers, the Minister said.
The Minister interacted with the industrialists present at the event and tried to get new responses. At the same time, he said that whatever the research of the industrialists and researchers, once the product is ready, they will give special consideration to whether it will be helpful to the people and keep up the pace of development.
