Mumbai, Jio Institute gave a warm welcome to its first batch of students at the inaugural program organized by Budhar. The program was attended by students, their parents, leaders and staff of Jio Institute, faculty, members of the Reliance family and leaders from industry and academia.
Jio Institute has launched academic sessions with two inaugural postgraduate programs in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Digital Media and Marketing Communications. The classes of this course will start from 21st July 2022.
The first batch of students enrolled in Jio Institute’s postgraduate programs has a healthy combination of geographic and gender diversity. This cohort includes students from 19 states of India and 4 countries outside India – South Africa, Bhutan, Nepal and Ghana.
The batch consists of students from academically diverse disciplines like Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce, Mass Media and Management Studies/Business Administration.
The first batch students have an average experience of four years working in advertising, automotive, banking, construction, digital media, edutech, fintech, healthcare, information technology, logistics, micro finance, oil and gas, pharma, telecom, government, NGO and other sectors. .
Both the one-year postgraduate programs are conducted by renowned faculty from top global institutions and industries. Both the programs are focusing on imparting essential life skills through Jio Institute Foundation, Core and Elective courses as well as its holistic learning modules.
Geo Institute has organized a study abroad module under which students will get an opportunity to study in a world-renowned university. Along with this Jio Institute will emphasize application based learning through capstone projects.
