The Indian team set a target of 191 runs to the West Indies after the first game, in response to which the host team could only score 122 runs for eight wickets in the allotted overs.
The power hitting batsmen of West Indies became helpless against the Indian spinners. R Ashwin took two wickets for just 22 runs in his four overs. Another youngster Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets by giving away 26 runs in his kata overs. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja got a wicket.
Chasing a huge target of 191 runs set by India, opener Kyle Myers tried to give a stormy start to the Caribbean team, but he was dismissed for 15 runs in 6 balls. He has hit two fours and one six.
The West Indies team could not recover from this initial setback. Then Shamrah Brooks got out after scoring 20 runs in 15 balls and captain Nicholas Pooran scored 18 runs in 15 balls. From here, the victory of Team India was ready.
