New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have changed their Twitter DP as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday changed the DP of all his social media pages. He has put a picture of the tricolor in the DP.
The Prime Minister has also appealed to people to put the tricolor in the DP of their social media pages. He said that August 2 is a special day. He said that ‘at a time when we are celebrating the Amrit Mohotsav of Azadi and the country is excited to join the tricolor campaign,
Then we need to celebrate the mass movement for our tricolor. I have changed the DP of all my social media accounts. I urge you to do the same.
In his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, the PM also appealed to the people. He said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will be celebrated across the country as a festival from August 13 to August 15. People are requested to hoist the tricolor at their homes.
He said, ‘The tricolor unites us and inspires us to do something for the country.’ The Prime Minister appealed to the people to post a picture of the national flag on their social media profiles between August 2 and August 15.
PM said that the day of August 2 also has historical significance for the tricolor. Pingali Venkaiah who designed the national flag was born on this day. Venkaiah has to be honored in a way by posting the picture of the tricolor on social media. On this occasion, the PM also discussed about Madam Cama (Bhikaji Rustam Cama) who played an important role in shaping the tricolor.
