Following the path shown by respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee who dreamed of building a new India by crossing the rivers of the country, Madhya Pradesh has done a wonderful job of writing a new story of development by crossing its life-giving mother rivers Narmada and Kshipra.
I came to Bhopal from my village Jait to study and as a student, heard the thoughts of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji for the first time at Charbatti Chowkdi. That day was and is today, He lives in me through His speech, thoughts, knowledge and poems. On his death anniversary I bow to him from the bottom of my heart.
Let it be known that Vajpayee breathed his last in Delhi on August 16, 2018 after being ill for a long time. He has been the Prime Minister of the country 3 times. His first tenure was 13 days in 1996, after which he was PM for 13 months from 1998 to 1999.
Later he was the Prime Minister of the country from 1999 to 2004. Vajpayee was a co-founder and senior leader of the BJP. He was a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He was the first non-Congress Prime Minister of India to complete his term.
He was also a famous poet and writer. He was a Member of Parliament for 5 decades. He was elected 10 times to the Lok Sabha and twice to the Rajya Sabha. In 2009, due to health reasons, he withdrew from active politics.HS1MS
