Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets, becoming the first team to enter the Super-4
Sharjah,Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the third match of Asia Cup 2022. With this, Afghanistan has become the first team to reach the Super-4 round. Bangladesh had given a target of 128 runs while batting first.
In response, Afghanistan achieved the target by losing only 3 wickets. Ibrahim Zadran scored an unbeaten 42 runs for the team. When Najibullah Zadran performed riotously. He scored 43 runs with six sixes.
Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz came to open for the Afghan team chasing the target given by Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Zazai scored 23 runs off 36 balls. While Gurbaz returned to the pavilion scoring 11 runs. Captain Mohammad Nabi was dismissed for only 8 runs. Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran performed brilliantly for Afghanistan. Ibrahim scored an unbeaten 42 off 41 balls. His innings included four boundaries.
While Najibullah faced only 17 balls and scored 43 runs with the help of 6 sixes and one four.
Earlier, the Bangladesh team scored 127 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Mossadiq Hussain scored an unbeaten 48 runs in 31 balls for the team.
