Samarkand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Samarkand. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi and President Putin have discussed various issues.
In a gesture, PM Modi gave an important advice to the President of Russia regarding the war. He said that this era is not about war. He said that democracy, diplomacy and dialogue will give the right message to the world. So energy-security has also been discussed during this time. Earlier this meeting was supposed to be held for 30 minutes, but the discussion between the two leaders lasted for more than an hour.
Meanwhile, the President of Russia has invited the Prime Minister to visit Russia. He said that we have constructive relations. He also said that we will fulfill India’s demand for fertilizers from Russia. Hope it will help India’s agriculture sector. He said that many topics were discussed. The two leaders had a detailed discussion about India-Russia bilateral relations.
Then speaking, PM Modi said that I will express my gratitude to you and Ukraine. He said that with the help of both of you we were able to send back our students during the war. He said that the relationship between India and Russia has increased manifold.
On this occasion, PM Modi also mentioned his and Putin’s friendship. PM Modi said that we have been a friend who has been with each other for many decades. The world knows this. When I first met you in 2001, I was a head of state.
Since then, our friendship has continued to grow. The sentiments you have expressed for India today. It will improve our relationship and fulfill the hope of the world.
PM Modi said that he often spoke to Putin on phone that democracy, diplomacy and dialogue touch the world. Today we have an opportunity to talk about how we can be more aggressive on our path to peace. PM Modi also mentioned the decades-long relationship between the two countries.HS1Ms
