New Delhi, In the first match of the three-match T-20 series against Australia, the Indian team had to face defeat by 4 wickets. Team India set a huge target of 209 runs while batting first but the Indian bowlers could not defend it. After the loss to Team India, Captain Rohit Sharma expressed disappointment with the bowlers and admitted that the Australian team had performed well.

Along with this, Rohit said that ‘We have to work on correcting our mistakes in bowling. After the match, Rohit Sharma expressed disappointment and said that ‘I don’t think we bowled well. This is a good score to defend 200 and we didn’t capitalize on that opportunity in the field.

It was a good effort from our batsmen, but the bowlers performed poorly. This is something we need to pay attention to, but to understand what went wrong? This is a good opportunity for us’. The captain went on to say, ‘We know this is a high scoring ground. You cannot score 200 comfortably on such ground.

We took wickets to some extent, but the Australian team actually played well. He hit some unusual shots. Had I been in that changing room I would have hoped to chase down the total. You could have easily saved 60 runs in the last 4 overs.

Rohit Sharma attributed the loss to lack of bowling in the last 4 overs. Not being able to take a wicket in the last over was the turning point, if we had taken one more wicket it would have been different. You can’t score 200 runs every time, you need to bat well.

Hardik Pandya batted really well to take us to 208. We have to pay special attention to the bowling before the next match. Cameron Greene scored 61 runs for the Australian team who entered the field to chase the target of 209 runs by the Indian cricket team. He hit four consecutive fours in Umesh Yadav’s over. Apart from this, 61 runs also include 4 sixes.

Apart from Cameron, Matthew Wade scored 45 runs in 21 balls in the match. Apart from this, Steve Smith made an important contribution of 35 runs for the team.SS1MS
