Even after beating Australia after nine years, Rohit is not happy
India may have won the Hyderabad T20 match by six wickets, but now the Indian team is facing a lot of difficulties in bowling the last overs.
New Delhi,Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli scored fifties as India beat Australia by six wickets in the third and final T20I in Hyderabad. After this victory, India has won the 3rd T20 series by 2-1. After nine years, India has defeated Australia at home ground in a T20 series. In the series played in 2019, India lost both the T20Is. There the series was tied 1-1 in 2017-18.
In this series, India lost the first match in Mohali. After that, India won the series in Nagpur and Hyderabad. But Indian captain Rohit Sharma is not happy about the series. Even today there are many things where the team needs improvement.
Rohit mentioned this after the match. Rohit Sharma said in the post-match presentation, ‘This was a big opportunity for us. We wanted to play well and we have been successful in that. The good thing for us is that many bowlers and batsmen contributed to the win.
As we all sat in the dressing room, it felt great as a team. Sometimes good performance becomes bad. This is T20 cricket and mistakes should be kept to a minimum. I felt we took advantage of the opportunity, we didn’t back down from taking chances. Often this matter is not in our hands.
But yes we will take this lesson with this match. India may have won the Hyderabad T20 match by six wickets. But now the Indian team is facing many difficulties in bowling the last overs. T20 World Cup is coming soon. Captain Rohit Sharma has expressed concern for this.
He said, ‘We may have won, but there is a lot of room, especially our bowling in the last over. Which needs a lot of improvement right now. As captain Rohit defended Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah. He said that these two bowlers have been returning to the team for a long time.
We know that it is difficult to bowl in the middle and lower order against Australia. That is why I have not thought about this matter now. Both these bowlers have recovered from the injury and returned. Hopefully, these players will start playing in their rhythm again. Bumrah has given 50 runs in four overs in Hyderabad T-20. Bumrah has given 50 runs for the first time in his T20 career.
He didn’t even take any wicket. Earlier in 2016, Bumrah scored 47 runs against West Indies at Lauderhill. On the other hand, Harshal Patel could not complete his 4 overs. He gave 18 runs in two overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar once again bowled the 18th over and again proved costly, conceding 21 runs in this over. Australia scored 63 runs in the last 5 overs.ss1
