Ashok Leyland, India-based flagship company of the Hinduja Group and largest supplier of logistics vehicles to the Indian Army, Gandhinagar today showcased three advanced technology products and solutions at Defense Expo (DefExpo) 2022, India’s premier defense exhibition organized by the Ministry of Defence, at Gandhinagar. Kargil war hero and 2nd Shaurya Chakra Mahavir Chakra winner Colonel Sonam Wangchuk unveiled the brand new Light General Service Vehicle “JEET 4×4” indigenously designed, developed and manufactured by Ashok Leyland. Ashok Leyland’s Vice President (Defence and Power Solutions Business) Rajesh R unveiled and launched other products in the presence of senior officials from the Indian Army and Ministry of Defence.
The products showcased at Def Expo 2022 are:
JEET 4×4: A proven platform, equipped for use in hills, upland areas, plain areas, flat areas and desert terrain.

JEET 4×4: JEET 4×4 is developed on a test-proven platform, which is best suited for General Service (GS) work. This vehicle is equipped for use in hills, high altitude areas, plain areas, flat areas and desert terrain. Modern technology has been used in all the systems of this vehicle.
LBPV 4×4: Light Bullet Proof Vehicle 4×4 is a customized platform. The platform has an indigenous design designed to carry small teams of 6 combat troops in various tactical missions such as counter-insurgency or counter-terrorism operations, reconnaissance, rapid reaction and patrolling.
The LBPV is designed to be used in all terrains, with armored protection and a weapon mount facility for independent deployment on the battlefield. Wheel independent suspension, ABS, ride height management and many other options set it apart. LBPV 4×4 is a world class vehicle made in India.
Tank T72 GB Assembly Aggregates: This Gear Box for Tank T-72 is called ‘Ajeya’ in India. Ashok Leyland will begin manufacturing sub-assemblies and sub-components for the T-72, including gear boxes.
