Rushil Decor (NSE: RUSHIL), a global leader in smart living solutions, has expanded its global operations by establishing a first-of-its-kind, world-class, agroforestry-based, eco-friendly, sustainable Future Boards (Medium Density Fiberboard or MDF) manufacturing plant in Achutapuram, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Technologically advanced plants powered by smart manufacturing and fully automated robotic manufacturing are strategically located near agroforestry-plantations to source raw materials, generate sustainable livelihoods, reduce transportation impact and reduce emissions.
The investment in this fully-integrated plant is significant and Rs. More than 500 crores. The investment is in line with Rushil Decor’s long-term vision to achieve additional and operational efficiencies in indigenous manufacturing, thereby expanding its range of value-added solutions and strengthening its commitment to business and earth sustainability.

With a total capacity of around 2,40,000 CBM per annum, this automated plant is one of the largest, most advanced, safe and smart manufacturing plants in the world, a significant investment in the engineered fiberboard industry. With the help of this plant RDL with full utilization in MDF segment from sales of Rs. 1000 crore revenue potential.
According to useful industry insights, growing awareness among consumers and wide range of utility are increasing the acceptability and consumption of MDF in India. In the year 2021, the industry will receive an estimated Rs. 3,000 crore at a CAGR of 15 to 20 percent by FY 2025-26, this market will grow to Rs. 6,000 is expected.
India is an important producer of MDF, which has been used as a leading interior infrastructure material. In view of rapid urbanisation, rise in realty activity and increase in nuclear families, discerning consumers seeking eco-friendly and responsible products and modern offices will fuel MDF’s growth.
Due to which the carbon emission will decrease. This growth will be attributed to the Indian work from home (WFH) furniture market, which is expected to reach $3.49 billion in FY 2025-26. About 60 percent of MDF consumption is for commercial use, though its use is increasing in the residential segment. MDF has only 30 percent market share in India as compared to 70 percent market share in developed countries, indicating high potential for MDF.
MDF is an engineered product, made from a bond of wood fibers using thermosetting resins and waxes under high pressure, which form beautiful panels at high temperatures and pressures, and these products are extremely strong. MDF’s many qualities make it an ideal replacement for wood, plywood and particle board.
