India win a heart-pounding match against Pakistan in Melbourne

Against the target of 160 runs given by Pakistan, India achieved the target by losing 6 wickets: Indian team won and got two points.

Melbourne, India gifted the nation a Diwali gift by defeating Pakistan in a last-ball thriller at the historic Melbourne Cricket Stadium. Entire Pakistan will remember Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya’s historic batting. The Indian team has avenged the defeat in 2021 264 days ago.

India needed 16 runs in the last over and Nawaz got a wicket, no ball, sixes and a wicket in this over and finally the Indian team won and got two points and shattered Pakistan’s pride.
In the first match of the T20 World Cup, India got off to a great start by defeating Pakistan by 4 wickets.

Against the target of 160 runs given by Pakistan, India got the target by losing 6 wickets. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya proved to be the heroes of the match in today’s match. Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of 82 runs and remained unbeaten by batting like a blaze of runs. Along with this, Hardik Pandya also contributed 40 runs in 37 balls.

Against a target of 160 runs, India had a poor start. KL. Rahul and Rohit Sharma got out with 4 runs each and India lost two wickets in 10 runs. After that, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav took over, but Suryakumar got out after scoring 15 runs.

India’s score was only 45 runs after 10 overs when Virat Kohli was in the game with 12 runs and Hardik Pandya with 7 runs. After that, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya batted brilliantly and India made 160 runs in the last over. Meanwhile, Akshar Patel was dismissed for 2 runs, Dinesh Karthik for 1 run. When R. Ashwin was unbeaten scoring 1 run.

Virat Kohli along with Hardik Pandya took over for India in difficult times. At one point, India’s required run rate was close to 12. But Kohli and Hardik batted without losing patience. Both accelerated the run pace when needed.

Hardik Pandya and Kohli registered a match winning partnership of 113 runs. Hardik Pandya got out on the first ball of the last over after scoring 40 runs off 37 balls. He hit one four and two sixes. While Kohli played an unbeaten innings of 82 runs in 53 balls with six fours and four sixes.

India needed 16 runs off six balls to win in the final over. Hardik Pandya was out on the first ball. Dinesh Karthik took one run off the second ball of the over bowled by spinner Mohammad Nawaz while Kohli took two runs off the third ball. The fourth ball was a full toss on which Kohli hit a six.

This ball was a no ball according to the height so India also got a free hit. The free hit went wide. So the free hit continued. So Kohli was bowled on the free hit ball and the ball went to the boundary side and took three runs. India needed two runs off the last two balls. Karthik was out on the fifth ball. India now needed two runs in one ball. But India got an extra ball as the final ball went wide. Ashwin successfully played the shot on the last ball and India won.

Pakistan got off to a poor start. Captain Babar Azam could not even open the account. Rizwan was dismissed for 4 runs. After which Iftikhar Ahmed and Masood made a partnership of 76 runs for the third wicket. In the 14th over, Hardik Pandya took two wickets in a single over and pushed Pakistan on the backfoot.

Pakistan scored 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Shan Masood scored the highest 52 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed played an innings of 51 runs in 34 balls. Shahin Afridi scored 16 runs in 7 balls. From India, Arshdeep took 3 for 32 runs, Hardik Pandya 3 for 30 runs and Mohammed Shami 1 for 25 runs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took wickets.
