Canine behaviourist Caroline Spencer said it was the perfect genre to keep dogs calm, especially with fireworks going off this week.
She said: “Its beat mimics a calm and steady heart rate, which is great at keeping a dog’s stress levels down.”
The soothing effect of reggae was noted by 1,000 owners asked to see how their dogs reacted when played a selection of types of music.
