New Delhi, Shubman Gill playing for Punjab in quarter final 1 of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has shocked everyone by scoring a storming century. He has played a brilliant innings of 126 runs off 55 balls in the match against Karnataka. He scored these runs with the help of 11 fours and 9 sixes.
Shubman’s strike rate in this innings was 229.09. Based on Gill’s innings, Punjab scored 225 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. At one point, Punjab was 2 wickets down for just 10 runs, then Gill took over the crease and scored this storming century to get the team out of trouble. In addition to Gill’s 126 runs, Anmolpreet Singh also scored 59 runs in 43 balls.
The duo shared a 151-run stand for the third wicket, which played an important role in taking the team to 225 runs. It may be mentioned here that Gill did not get a place in the T20 World Cup squad, but he has been included in the squad for the series against New Zealand. He has been included in the T20, ODI squad against New Zealand.
