A MASSIVE fire has broken out at a former care home with residents nearby warned to stay away as thick smoke fills the air.
Emergency crews rushed to the fire in Bolnore Farm Lane near Haywards Heath, West Sussex, at 7:08pm this evening.

Ten engines are currently in attendance battling the huge flames.
Residents nearby have been told to keep their windows closed due to heavy smoke.
Photos from the scene show the former care home engulfed in orange flames as smoke billows into the sky.
The B2272 has been closed in both directions.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have posted an update to their Twitter asking people to avoid the area.
It said: “We are currently tackling a fire in Bolnore Farm Lane near Haywards Heath.
“Local residents are advised to keep their windows closed due to heavy smoke – 10 engines are currently in attendance.
“We were called at 7.08pm to the fire in a former care home building.

“The B2272 in Hayward’s Heath has been closed both ways, from the Havester to the Cuckfield bypass.
“Please continue to avoid the area and keep windows closed, thank you.”
In an update at around 9.15pm, the fire service added: “Please continue to avoid the area and keep windows closed as we work to bring this fire under control.”
