New Delhi, The Indian cricket team has received a big blow on Tuesday morning. Captain Rohit Sharma has been injured during a practice match. During the throw down, Rohit Sharma missed his shot and the ball hit his hand. After which he immediately left net practice. The Indian team has another semi-final match on November 10, which is to be played against England.
An optional net practice was held on the Tuesday before the tournament. Rohit tried a short-arm pull and one ball bounced a little too much during the throwdown from 18 yards to over 150. There was a delay of a second and the ball hit his right hand. After which he stopped playing and an ice pack could be tied to the right hand.
As, Rohit was sitting in the field and playing the rest of the players. Mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton sat and talked to Rohit till late. It is believed that Rohit’s injury is not serious and he will be able to play in the semi-finals to be held on November 10.
