Hawala racket busted in Delhi: 8 arrested
(Agencies) New Delhi, Noida police have so far recovered 2 crore 62 lakh rupees in cash after the arrest of 8 people involved in hawala business and revelations made during their interrogation. Eight people have been arrested in this case and three people have been detained from Delhi. It is being told that 96 lakhs in cash has been found in raids in Delhi.
According to the information received, the money brought from the Surat businessman reached the Noida businessman through Hawala. There was a plan to give money by telling the number of twenty rupee note.
ATS has also started an investigation into the matter. After this, ATS, the Income Tax Department, started tracing the source of money from the arrested accused continuously. Noida Police has got a lot of important information in this matter.
Several teams of Noida Police are busy arresting other people linked to Hawala and tracing those linked to their network. It is being said that Sector 58 police station had recovered the money. The scope of raids on hawala traders in Noida has been increased.
Noida Police along with Delhi Police also raided traders in charge of Chandni Chowk. It is being told that 1.67 lakh rupees have been recovered from Noida and 95 lakh rupees from Delhi. A total amount of 2 crore 62 lakhs has been recovered. All this money came from Surat in Gujarat. Businessmen from Gujarat, Mumbai and Delhi were involved in this movement.
