The bird, a Bar-tailed Godwit, flew from Alaska to Tasmania, Australia on October 13 and completed it on October 25. He flew continuously for 11 days and covered a distance of 13 thousand 560 km. A satellite tag was placed on the bird’s back, through which it was tracked.
The bird flew continuously across the islands of Oceania, Vanuatu and New Caledonia before landing in Tasmania. A world record was registered in his name after his flight was tracked by 5y tag.
There is no bird record for the Bar-tailed Godwit species. They are famous for their long flight and even in 2020, one bird of this species traveled continuously for 12 thousand kilometers in 11 days. The bird flew from Alaska to New Zealand. Even in the year 2021, this bird continued to fly for 13 thousand 50 kilometers and then came down.
