Violence erupts in Belgium after defeat against Morocco

brussels, Riots erupted in the Belgian capital on Sunday following Belgium’s defeat to Morocco in the ongoing Football World Cup match in Qatar. In the violence sparked by Belgium’s defeat, people set electric cars and several scooters on fire.

According to news agency Reuters, local police detained dozens of rioters. There were riots in many places in Brussels. The police had to face many difficulties in pacifying him.

Regarding the riots, police spokeswoman Ilse van de Keere said the situation returned to normal around 7 p.m. Vigilant patrolling continued in the concerned areas.

At present, the police are keeping a close watch on the miscreants, who may once again create an atmosphere of unrest in the city. A police team is interrogating the people taken into custody to find out the exact reason and conspiracy behind the riots.

According to the police, the rioters were armed and came down on the road. Also, they had many inflammable materials with which they set several vehicles on fire. Police said that a journalist was also injured in the face due to firecrackers. In view of the escalating violence, senior police officials authorized the use of water cannon and tear gas.

The situation was brought under control soon thereafter. There was a big upset in the Football World Cup on Sunday. Morocco has defeated Belgium team 2-0. In the FIFA ranking, the Belgium team is at number two while the Morocco team is at number 22, but in this match, Morocco has created a big upset by defeating the Belgium team by 2-0.

This is Morocco’s first victory in a football World Cup. Before this, Morocco’s first match against Croatia was a draw. While Belgium beat Canada 1-0 in their first match.SS1MS
