Three students who were preparing for a competitive exam at a coating center here cut their lives short. We all know that there are number of seats in the big and popular technical and medical colleges of the country.
Students from all over the country take admission in various coaching centers running in the city of Kota, Rajasthan and stay there to prepare for the entrance exam of these colleges. When this incident of suicide has happened, once again the discussion of pressure on students has started. Of the three students who committed suicide, two were from Bihar while one was from Madhya Pradesh.
According to the information received by the police, he did not leave any suicide note. But according to the preliminary investigation, it is believed that he may have taken such a big decision due to stress. Talking about the identity of the students, 16-year-old Ankush Anand was from Bihar’s Supol district.
17-year-old Pranav Verma came from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh. Both these students were preparing for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test here. It is worth mentioning that this exam is conducted for admission to medical college. The third student has been identified as 18-year-old Ujjwal Kumar. Ujjwal Kumar had come from Gaya in Bihar and was preparing for Tnai.
It may be mentioned that a bottle of rat killer medicine was found in the hostel room of Pranav Verma, from which it seems that he took his own life by swallowing the poisonous medicine. Pranav had been coaching for the past two years. Circle Inspector Ganga Sahay Sharma says that Pranav was found unconscious in the corridor of the hostel.
At midnight, the police reached the hostel and took him to the hospital. Doctors declared him dead at the hospital. Ankush and Ujjwal were living together for the past six months and were preparing for the entrance test at the same coaching center. He was in Kota for the past two years. Ankush and Ujjwal’s rooms were next to each other in a PG in Kota.
When he did not open the door till 11 am on Monday, other students informed the PG caretaker. When the police were called and the door was broken down, it was found that the two students were hanging with a fan. The exact time of death will be known after the autopsy report.
It may be mentioned that Ujjwal’s sister also studies in a coaching center in Kota and lives in a private girls hostel. Preliminary investigation revealed that Ujjwal and Ankush had not been attending classes regularly for a long time. Pranav’s body has been handed over to his parents and a case has been registered.SS1MS
