The number of vehicles lying on the side of the roads is shocking. where eight feet (2.4 m) of snow has fallen and power outages have created more life-threatening conditions. Hochul told reporters on Sunday evening that the people of the city are still facing a very dangerous life-threatening situation. He warned everyone in the area to stay indoors.
More than 2,00,000 people in many eastern states of America had to spend Christmas without electricity. 31 people have been confirmed dead due to bomb cyclone in 9 states of America. This includes the death of 4 people in Colorado. At least 12 people have died in New York state. Officials there have warned that the death toll could rise.
Emergency service staff are working hard to find people in need of rescue assistance. They have to search for bodies in vehicles and under snow for hours. Power was not expected to return to some homes until Tuesday due to frozen power substations, a senior official said.
While a frozen substation is said to be buried under 18 feet of snow. According to tracking website Flightaware.com, more than 2,400 flights were canceled on Sunday. Throughout the Christmas day, passengers at airports including Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit and New York faced problems and had to stay at the airport.SS1MS
