Dream of winning a medal in Olympic remained unfulfilled: Sania Mirza
Sania has said in the conversation that everything has its time and we always have to accept it. But we need to realize that there are many other things to pay attention to. I have my family, my son in my life. I want to spend more time with them. I want to be a bit normal now. Things like pick-up-drop to son from school. To be honest, I have a lot of physical injuries that I am playing with.
She further said, ‘I have been playing professional tennis for 20 years. I have been trying to give my best in this sport for almost 30 years. So a lot of time has passed. The decision to retire is not made overnight. Someday you wake up and say enough is enough… it doesn’t happen. Its a complete process. I’ve always wanted to retire on my own terms. When I play well, it’s not like I get kicked out of the game.
Sania Mirza, who has won 6 Grand Slams in her career, said, ‘Yes we came very close to a medal last time, but yes things don’t happen as you think. I have fulfilled many dreams in my life, but one dream that I feel is the biggest dream that has remained unfulfilled, is to win a medal in the Olympics. Yes, but this is luck. Sometimes you have to go with luck.
Thank you Abhishek

Sania Mirza is grooming many kids through her tennis academy. He said, ‘Preparations should be made for the coming generation. I don’t want Indian tennis to end up where it started. It should go further. It is sad that there is no one to represent India in the Grand Slam. That’s why I don’t want such a situation to happen. HM1
