About 30 minutes after Jerry, a mathematician and former NASA employee, the weather took a turn for the worse and then something happened that he had never imagined in his wildest dreams. Jerry accidentally turns onto a small road, causing his car to get caught in a snowstorm. He had to spend the whole night in the car. Jerry thought at first that he was going to ride out the snow storm.
He tried a lot but could not succeed. At night there was only snow all around. Due to the storm, a 3 feet thick sheet of snow had piled up everywhere. He had nothing but a towel to keep himself warm. Jerry stayed in the same car for a week in such brutal conditions in the freezing cold.
Keeping the SUV warm while using minimal gas and battery power. Amazingly, he kept himself alive for so many days by eating only candy and croissants. Sometimes the snow would roll down the windows to eat. The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office was notified six days after Jerry went missing. When the search began, the rescue team reached them.
A California Highway Patrol plane found their vehicle buried in about three feet of snow. They were brought out. Admitted to hospital. Even the doctors were surprised that despite his age, he did not show any symptoms of hypothermia. He was looking quite nice.SS1MS
