The player narrowly escaped death and luckily managed to get out alive just seconds before the car burst into flames. Namely, he suffered a serious injury and a ligament tear, which has ruled him out of the game indefinitely.
Currently, Rishabh is on the road to recovery and is also giving updates about this on social media. On Wednesday, Rishabh Pant shared the first video after the accident.

He has shared many pictures of himself in the past, but this is the first time that he has shared a video on a social media account. In which he was seen enjoying a pool recovery session, he was walking in the water with the help of a stand and looked much healthier than before. Along with this he wrote ‘Thank you for the little things, the big things and everything in between’.
Fellow player Suryakumar Yadav commented that night mate 17, keep it going panty, as former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri wrote. Not only this, the BCCI also shared this video on their Twitter handle and wrote in the caption ‘You get more power, champ. When Rishabh Pant’s accident happened, from teammates and former coaches to fans too, they wished him well.
After the surgery, he thanked everyone by sharing a statement on Instagram. He wrote, ‘I am grateful for the support and well wishes. Just wanted to let you all know that my surgery was successful and I am on the road to recovery. My passion is high and I’m feeling better every day. My gratitude for all your well wishes, support and positive energy during this difficult time.
Let it be said that Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident early in the morning on 30th December. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Dehradun. Where after primary treatment, he was airlifted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for further treatment. The cricketer still has a surgery which will be done very soon.SS1MS
