Chandigarh, Police combing operation continues for third day in Punjab to nab separatist leader and ‘Waris Punjab De na Chief Amritpal Singh.
Amritpal Singh has been declared a fugitive. Meanwhile, Punjab Police recovered a black-colored Jeep car from Salema village of Jalandhar’s Shahkot on Sunday. Police said that this SUV car was used by Amritpal to escape from Mahatpur-Malasia road.
Police seized a deadly weapon, 57 cartridges and a walkie-talkie set from the car. According to the report, apart from this, the SUV car had a photograph of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a rifle, a walkie talkie, 57 cartridges, a sword and a registration number plate.
Police said that Amritpal Singh was moving around with armed men. Some of his supporters refer to him as “Bhindrawale 2.0”. Police have seized a total of 3 cars so far.
Amritpal Singh allegedly left his car and fled on a motorcycle. He said that to divert the police, Amritpal got into a motorcycle and fled on foot. Police said, “We have been ordered to arrest Amritpal Singh. In pursuit, he was going on the link road with one lane ahead of us.HS1MS
