Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced that ‘President Xi Jinping will visit Russia from March 20 to 22 at the invitation of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin.’ There is speculation that Putin’s close friend, Xi Jinping, may try to initiate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine to end the ongoing war in Ukraine.
