A PEDESTRIAN has died and another is seriously injured after being hit amid a horror three-car crash.
Emergency services raced to a residential road in Merseyside this afternoon after reports of the smash.

They arrived to find two pedestrians had been hit by the cars.
Tragically one woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was raced to hospital.
Police are now pleading for witnesses who saw the crash, which happened on Elbow Lane, Formby around 4.20pm, to come forward.
The force said three cars were involved – a silver Ford Max, a red Jaguar, a white Vauxhall Corsa.
Merseyside Police said: “A woman, who was one of the pedestrians, was treated at the scene by paramedics after sustaining a serious head injury but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
“The other pedestrian also sustained serious injuries after the incident and has been taken to hospital.
“The driver of the white Vauxhall Corsa remained at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
“Enquiries are ongoing to inform the woman’s next of kin.”
