A FOODIE tried and tested every single sweet item from Lidl’s bakery section, before unveiling her review.
And while she wasn’t too keen on some, others came out on top – with one popular food item even earning a whopping eleven out of ten.

Emily Jade decided to spotlight the popular budget supermarket after she popped into her local and picked up some sweet treats.
And the twenty strong selection featured a wide choice of desserts – from different flavoured doughnuts to croissants.
The food fan then recorded a video of her tucking into each baked good, as she gave it a score and short description.
But which should be added to everyone’s shopping lists, and which should stay on the shelf?
Emily, aka TikTok user @emiiyjade, said: “I’m going to be trying every single sweet bakery item.
“Guys, I literally have 20 things – don’t worry, none of it will go to waste.”
She then launched straight into the Lidl taste test, beginning with all the different varieties of cookies on offer.
The triple chocolate cookie received an 8 out of 10, while the double chocolate variety was given a 7 because it was “a bit hard” .
Last, but by no means least in the biscuit selection, the white chocolate chip cookie was also described as the same, but awarded an 8.
Emily then moved onto the pastries, starting with an apple turnover, which she said was “good but not crispy enough” resulting in a 7 out of 10.
The croissants also came out at varying degrees of success.
The almond variety scored 8 out of 10 – but was upstaged by the maple and pecan plait, which got a 9.
The pain au chocolat, however, beat both as she said: “That is insane. 10 out of 10.”
And just when Emily thought it couldn’t get any better, she sampled the chocolate hazelnut one.
She excitedly said: “This is also one of my favourites – I’ll give it a 9.5 out of 10.”
The plain croissant scored 7, while the pain aux raisin only got a 6.
Other items included in the review included a pastel de nata (8.5), cinnamon bun (9.5), belgian bun (8), chocolate brownie (7.5), ultimate chocolate brownie (8), triple chocolate muffin (8.5), and a blueberry muffin (9).
Moving on to the doughnut range, Emily couldn’t wait to see which would be the big winner.
Both the pink sprinkle and chocolate ring doughnuts received a perfect 10 – but there was more to come.
The toffee yum yum went down a treat and was rewarded with a 10 out of 10 and took the third spot in the top three.
As she took a bite out of a chocolate and hazelnut flavoured one – which came in in second position overall – Emily said: “This is an 11 out of 10 – so good.”
But Emily saved her best review for the family favourite jam doughnut, which was branded her “favourite so far” and flew straight to the top of the list.
