In the ninth meeting of the Governing Council of Niti Aayog organized in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel expressed Gujarat's full commitment to realizing the Prime Minister's resolution of Developed India@2047.
In this regard, the Chief Minister said that the state government has prepared Gujarat@2047 dynamic document-roadmap with the goal mantra of a developed Gujarat for a developed India.
He added that through this roadmap based on two main pillars 'Earning Well' and 'Living Well', the state government wants to move ahead with the goals of improving and enhancing the standard of living of the people of the state and making their prosperity a part of the economy.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel announced the establishment of Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT) as a think tank to achieve these goals in a well-planned and orderly manner.
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat has taken the resolution of a developed Gujarat for a developed India by making the Prime Minister's mantra 'Gyan' i.e. the development of the poor, youth, food donor and women power as the basis.
He said that Gujarat, with a population of five percent of the country's population, has contributed 8.3 percent to the GDP in the year 2022-23. The state government has focused efforts to train today's young generation in future fields like, through the 'Chief Minister's Future Skill Development Scheme'.
The Chief Minister added that Gujarat is moving at a fast pace through the wide implementation of Solar Rooftop Scheme and the world's largest hybrid renewable energy park under construction in Kutch in the direction of realizing the idea of green growth given by the Prime Minister.
The state government has given equal importance to both agriculture and non-agriculture sectors. Natural farm products have adapted to global export demand. The Chief Minister also gave details that more than 43 lakh farmers have been trained in natural farming in the state, out of which 9 lakh farmers are practicing natural farming in more than 7 lakh acres of land.
The Chief Minister added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world and now in his third tenure as the Prime Minister, the country is leading towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.
In this Governing Council meeting of Niti Aayog, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that Gujarat will participate with determined efforts to realize this vision of a developed India. Chief Secretary Shri Rajkumar was also present in this meeting along with the Chief Minister.
