Surat, A father and daughter have been caught trying to get government jobs on the basis of bogus certificates in Surat. A 25-year-old girl living in Katargam and preparing for UPSC made an attempt to take advantage of the government job in the direct recruitment of Assistant Engineer-Civil-Class-2 by putting the Bakshi Panch certificate. After verifying the documents submitted along with the form, the father's Bakshipanch entry was found to be bogus.
Hence, Jitendra Chauhan, who is working as a social welfare officer, has lodged a complaint with the Athwalines police. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Rekha Shantilal Khatik and Shantilal Shankar Khatik and arrested them.
Currently Rekha Khatik was preparing for competitive exams. However, the police will remand Shantilal Khatik for further investigation as to where he created the bogus living certificate. Rekha's brother works as a contract worker in Ahmedabad Municipality.
The police said that a girl named Rekha Khatik dated On 30-5-2016, the office of the District Social Welfare Officer presented the living certificate of Sharda Vidya Mandir Singanpore dated 31-3-2016 to get the Bakshipanch instance.
The living certificate dated 16-7-2008 of the year 2008 of old Tared Primary School, Mahuva, Bhavnagar was presented as the support of his father. On the basis of these two certificates, the office dated 30-5-2016 issued a certificate regarding Hindu Khatik Caste.
Rekha Khatik has submitted a copy of caste certificate along with reference form for direct recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Civil) Class-II under Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Division Gandhinagar in the year 2023-24. The scandal erupted when Rekha's Bakshipanch instance and her father's living certificate were verified. The police remanded both and conducted further investigation.SS1MS
