Jethabhai Devayatbhai Waja, a laboring farmer who lives in Ankolali village of Girgarhda taluka and owns land near Kankaria lake near Panjeri, was there as he planted the paddy with his son. His wife Raiyaben Waja (aged 45) used to prepare lunch from the house in the village and go to give rice at around twelve o'clock in the afternoon.
This time Rayaben was killed by some unknown persons on a clear day on the way from Akolali to Dhabavad in the old seam area and his throat was cut with a sharp weapon. The killers fled after looting jewelry worth approximately two lakhs including silver bars.
The incident was suspected to be a robbery-related murder. It has been revealed that there are marks of sharp weapon wounds on the neck and other parts. The villagers along with her husband and son came to know that a Koli woman named Labhuben alias Rayyaben was lying in the seam area in a bloody condition. The preliminary investigation has concluded that the murder was committed with the intention of robbery. But after the killer is caught, the real reason for the murder will come out.
