GPCB took samples of chemical water disposal in storm drains by companies of Ankleshwar GIDC.
(Representative) Bharuch, Ankleshwar GIDC storm drains have now become crime pits of pollution mafia. From last one week colorful chemical water falls are seen flowing in different drains. Over head pipe line is working in GIDC. So why is rain drain being disposed of? ?
The GPCB conducted sampling after a citizen's complaint regarding the disposal of chemical water in cisterns on Hubek-Sajjan India Road in Ankleshwar GIDC. Incidents of chemically polluted water being discharged into rainwater cisterns in Ankleshwar GIDC are often brought to light.
For the past one week, videos of different colored chemical water flowing in different places of rain water are coming out in social media. Then yesterday in GIDC, the rain water water tank is located in front of Sajjan India Company and next to Heubeck Company. It was seen flowing.
GPCB regional officer Vijaykumar Khaveliya was informed by an alert citizen who came in full force and the monitoring team rushed to the spot from where is such chemical water coming out? He tried to find out and left only with a sample of chemically polluted water containing runoff. No care was taken to investigate the direction from which the water came.
It is worth mentioning that chemical industries are booming in the biggest GIDC of Ankleshwar and the regional office of GPCB is also functioning. Every time after an accident in the company, the GPCB is satisfied with only giving closure, questions are being raised as to why GPCB does not carry out regular checking. Overhead at the expense of crores of rupees. The pipeline has been laid recently
And the underground line can be closed and the chemical water can be delivered to the over head pipe line pumping station. This can prevent the discharge of underground water through ghost connection and action needs to be taken to catch the elements that release more than the prescribed amount of polluted water in the overhead line. Then crores of rupees. It is also being discussed that this expensive line is becoming an ornamental knot.
