The State Government's “Mobile Medical Van Scheme” has become a blessing

“On an average, more than 2000 laborers are medically examined and treated monthly through the Mobile Medical Van scheme. So far a total of more than 31 lakh Shram Yogis and their dependents have benefited from this scheme. During the corona epidemic, necessary tests and medicines were distributed free of charge for the benefit of all the citizens of the state through mobile medical vans., This was said by the Minister of Labor and Employment Mr. Balwantsinh Rajput.
Minister Mr. Rajput gave the details and said that, For the medical protection of the working families of the organized sector of the state, the Gujarat government has launched the “Mobile Medical Van” scheme, which is a new pillar for the health of the workers. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel, 24 mobile medical vans are currently providing free primary medical examination and treatment to more than 6 lakh laborers and their dependents annually.
In which blood test, Pregnancy test, Hemoglobin, Laboratory investigation, Diabetes, Various investigations like blood count are included. In which if further treatment is required during the investigation, the laborer can go to the nearest government hospital and get treatment.
Minister Shri Balwantsinh Rajput said that, It is the main goal of the state government to provide health cover to the workers of every organized sector of Gujarat. It is also planned to start more mobile medical vans as per requirement in the near future to provide the benefits of “Mobile Medical Van” scheme to maximum number of Shramyogi Kalyan Board through Shramyogi Kalyan Board. Free primary medical check-up to working families, 100% subsidy is paid by the state government to get treatment and necessary medicines.
This mobile medical van is currently in Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Surat, Himmatnagar, Gandhinagar, Junagadh, Used up, Vadodara, Anand-kheda, Gandhidham, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Valsad, Used up, Working in Navsari and Rajkot and surrounding GIDCs. Seeing the success of this scheme, apart from the present 24 mobile medical vans, more and more Shram Yogis and their dependents will be given the benefit of the scheme through 6 more medical vans., The minister added.
Why the need for a plan?
Many working families migrate from rural areas of the state to cities for employment. These laborers sometimes lack basic health-related facilities due to the overcrowded living in cities, Due to which they suffer from many diseases. Under which the “Mobile Medical Van Scheme” was started in Gujarat in the year 2015-16 with the auspicious intention that laborers and their dependents can work more while remaining healthy.
