Kumbh's scene was electrical because millions of devotees gathered for 'bath' there, the presence of the Prime Minister made the occasion even more memorable. At the beginning of the week, despite a tragedy, in which 30 people were killed, Maha Kumbh remained a symbol of devotion, unity and culture.
The visit has come at a time when the national capital is facing crucial elections, which already adds political importance to a deep spiritual event. As PM Modi participated in Kumbh, his party, the BJP, was also creating a strategy to stop the ruling AAP bid for the third term in Delhi.
