Ahmedabad4 March2025 – Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Police to provide health insurance coverage through its Gujarat Police Personal Celery Accounts. The MoU was done in Gandhinagar by Inspector General of Police (Administration) and IPS Ms. Gagandeep Gambhir and Regional Branch Banking Head of Axis Bank – West 2 Mr. Rakesh Mashagarwala. Senior officials of the bank including Ms Milli Singhal, Regional Head Celery and Mr. Rajesh Mehta, Circle Head Gujarat North and Central were present on the occasion.
Under this MoU, the bank will provide extensive health insurance coverage package to more than 65,000 dedicated employees of Gujarat Police. This package has been specially designed to provide various benefits such as cashless hospitalization, coverage for pre-hospital and subsequent costs, specialized day-care procedures and advanced medical treatment.
In addition, it provides coverage of maternity, domicillary hospitalization, air ambulance services and organ donor and ensures all -round healthcare support. With the strong focus of Axis Bank on digital accessibility, policemen can easily manage their policies, get telecommunications services, and obtain Preventive Health Check-ups that ensure easy healthcare support when needed.
