A TV doctor failed to raise concerns over a nurse accused of murdering seven babies because he was told not to make a fuss, a court has heard.
Dr Ravi Jayaram said he and colleagues became increasingly worried about Lucy Letby’s links to a series of “very unusual and seemingly inexplicable” collapses.

But he added: “At the time we were being told that really we shouldn’t be saying such things and not to make a fuss.
“I suggested that this could have been happening — I didn’t have any hard evidence.”
The paediatrician, seen on This Morning and The One Show, was giving evidence in Letby’s trial at Chester crown court.
Letby, 32, from Hereford, denies murder and attempting to kill a further ten between June 2015 and June 2016 at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
