Ottawa, There was a clash between protesters and police opposing the Kovid-19 sanctions at Canada’s Ottawa on Friday night and several people were arrested during that time. Some trucks were trying to reach Parliament Hill during a rally called ‘Rolling Thunder’ organized by the group ‘Freedom Fighters Canada’, which is raising voice against the Covid-19 ban.
Ottawa police said Friday that protesters would no longer be allowed to demonstrate. The protest was initially peaceful but in the evening police warned a large convoy trying to enter the city. Within minutes, hundreds of protesters had gathered near trucks parked outside parliament.
Police pushed them back to prevent people from going to the truck and arrested several protesters. Many of those protesters were also part of the Freedom Convoy convoy that ran for 3 weeks last year. Ottawa has come to a complete standstill due to this demonstration. Canada first enacted the Emergency Situations Act because of the protests.
