Reportedly, this method of gas accumulation is fatal. This has an explosion hazard. An Islamabad medical officer said that his center receives an average of eight patients per day who were injured in the bag explosion and related accidents.
Some patients are seriously injured. There are many people who do not even reach the hospital. According to doctors, it can even kill me, but people say they have no solution. Because cylinders are expensive. All the people out there on social media have questioned the government regarding this problem and demanded an immediate solution. People will be found cooking food in gas with plastic bags in all households.
Natural gas is being sold at shops with nozzles and valves in these bags. These shops are connected to the gas pipeline network. People buy gas from here and use it with the help of small electric suction pumps. A compressor is required to fill the gas in a plastic bag and supply it to the kitchen. According to users, this bag fills up within an hour.
Locals said these reusable plastic bags cost between 500-900 Pakistani rupees depending on the size, while compressors cost between 1,500-2,000 rupees. People are using it both in village and city.
The administration is also aware of the problem and their sale has been banned, action has been taken and 16 shopkeepers have been arrested in Peshawar alone this month. But to avoid prosecution people are now doing underground business.SS1MS
