A Yeti Airlines ATR-72 aircraft on its way from Kathmandu to Pokhara in Nepal crashed in Pokhara in Kaski district this morning. A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the ATR-72 aircraft that crashed between the old airport and Pokhara International Airport, Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula told The Post.
In the pictures and videos posted on social media platforms, billows of smoke can be seen emanating from the accident site. Rescue operations are currently underway and the airport has been closed. An incident of a plane crash has come to light in Nepal on Sunday.

A video of this incident has also surfaced now. The video is said to be a few seconds before it crashed. So far 68 dead bodies have been taken out in this accident. Krishna Bhandari, spokesperson of the Nepal Army, said that a large number of relief workers are present at the site of the accident.

In which those who faced a lot of difficulty came. 15 foreign nationals have also been killed in this accident. Five of them are Indians. The plane left for Pokhara from the capital Kathmandu.
The plane took off from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. The place where the plane crashed is a forest area and the Santi Gandaki river flows nearby. The river passes between the old and international airports of Pokhara. An emergency meeting has been held by the government after the accident. In which Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal Prachand is also present.
