The Biden government introduced the citizenship bill in Parliament
Washington (USA) In the coming days, it will be easy to become a citizen of the United States. The 17th Democratic Party has presented the American Citizenship Act in the US Parliament. It also includes provisions to eliminate country quotas for green cards and changes to the H-1B visa system.
This bill will make it easier for those who have obtained a degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM DEGREE) from an American university to stay in the United States.
The American Citizenship Act of 2023, introduced by Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, would provide citizenship to all 1.1 million undocumented immigrants, proposing changes to the employment-based immigration system by eliminating individual country borders.
This would help people working in low-wage industries obtain green cards, allow dependents of H-1B visa holders to work in the country, and prevent children of H-1B visa holders from being excluded from the system.
What is H-1B Visa-The H-1B visa is a nonimmigrant visa that allows US companies to hire foreign workers in a business. Which requires theoretical or technical specialization.
Technology companies depend on H-1B visas to hire thousands of workers every year in countries like India and China. It is worth mentioning that the outline of granting citizenship to 1.1 crore non-resident citizens has been created in the US Citizenship Act-2023.
