Posting in the popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one mum raved: “They have Paddington in happy meals from today at McDonald’s, you just have to specify if you want toy or book.”
There are 10 different toys you can collect, including:
- Elf
- Bobble Hat
- Reindeer
- Cracker Hat
- Santa Hat
- Duffle Hoodie
- Walker
- Christmas Tree
- Snow Jumper
- Onesie
The adorable soft toys include Paddington bear‘s “Please look after this bear. Thank you.” tag.
Kids can also go for a book instead for a toy, and there are two festive stories to choose from.
The Paddington books from Harper Collins’ Children’s books are based on The Adventures of Paddington series ‘First Snow‘ and ‘The Christmas Wish’.
You’ve got until 3 January 2024 to get your hands on the toys and books, which are supposed to encourage families and children to be kind like Paddington over the festive season.
Other McDonald’s fans on Facebook loved the new toys and couldn’t wait to get their hands on some.
“I think we need a trip to McDonald’s,” one person commented on the post, tagging a friend.
A second wrote: “The best excuse for a Maccies!”
“These are the best toys for ages,” another added.
Shoppers can buy a Happy Meal for £3.49 and get the choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets or Veggie Dippers.
You can also pick a Pineapple Stick or Carrot Bag side and drink options including water or Fruit Shoot.
