Interestingly, the team that arrested Revanna from the airport included all women members.
A team of women police conducted an operation to arrest Prajwal Revanna at the Bengaluru airport late on Friday night. This team of SIT consisted of all women members. After the arrest, the women police brought Revanna to the CID office. Prajwal had a message to send to all the women officers to arrest Revanna. The symbolic message that 'if Prajwal abuses his seat and power as an MP with women, women have the right to take legal action and arrest him'.
Apart from this, a symbolic message was also given to the victims that women officers are not afraid of anyone. The team was headed by a woman IPS officer at the airport. Prajwal was accompanied by five women officers in the jeep. Prajwal Revanna will be taken to the government hospital for medical tests on Friday. He will have to be produced in the Magistrate's Court within 24 hours, where the police will seek his custody. According to reports, the SIT may seek 14-day custody of Prajwal Revanna. However, usually the court grants custody for only seven to 10 days
The forensic team will also take his audio samples, through which it will be known whether the voice heard in the viral sex video is Prajwal's or not. Three cases of sexual harassment have been registered against Prajwal so far. This week, Prajwal, MP from Hassan seat, released a video message in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate with the investigation. Prajwal Revanna fled the country in April after several videos of sexual exploitation in Karnataka went viral. The second phase of voting for Hasan seat was held on April 26. Interpol had issued a 'Blue Corner' notice against Revanna on the request of the SIT.ss1
