Woman who befriended Baby P’s mum in urgent warning after learning of monster child abuser’s real identity

A DISTRESSED woman sent out an urgent warning after mistakenly befriending the evil mother of Baby P as she duped others online.

Tracey Connelly, 42, was jailed for at least five years in 2009 for causing or allowing the death of 17-month-old Peter at her North London flat.

Tracey Connelly has been recalled to prison after her release on licence in 2022[/caption]

She was released from prison in 2013 but recalled just two years later after selling nude pictures of herself online.

Once again she was let out on licence in 2022, under 20 conditions, but has now been hauled back to prison yet again after breaching those terms.

A woman who innocently befriended her during the last nine months has now told how the vile mum “manipulated” a WeightWatchers social media group.

The vile child abuser tried to reinvent her identity while she forged friendships and boasted of her weight loss.

As reported by the MailOnline, a disgusted group member finally uncovered Connelly’s sinister past.

The stunned user wrote: “I’ve decided to be honest with you guys. I’ve been concerned about sharing what’s happened to me as it will shock and upset people.

“But in all good conscience I think it’s something you all deserve to know to protect yourselves in future.

“The woman we knew was actually someone else. She had been in prison for 13 years and had been given a new identity. She breached her parole restrictions and was re-incarcerated.

“I was completely unaware, like the rest of you who she was until this happened. Her name is Tracey Connelly – the mother of Baby P. Please Google. It’s horrifying, upsetting and scary.

“I’m in shock, we’ve been manipulated by an expert I’m afraid. Don’t know what else to say, it’s like I’m in a nightmare.”

Callous Connelly had frequently showed off pictures of herself at the gym, dining out, and swigging bottles of prosecco.

In one upload she celebrated her birthday as she displayed cards – one of which read “Happy Birthday from one fabulous b**** to another”.

She even chatted to women about binging reality TV whilst living with her cat.

In one of her posts she said: “The only real changes I have made is switching my normal 2 lattes to 2 Americanos and adding more fruit and vegetables to my food, yes I’m working on portion but that is a slow process for me.

“Other things I have done is stop eating wholemeal bread, the reason for this is because it is too light for me so I end up having 2 sandwiches to feel even remotely satisfied.”

It comes as Connelly was put dragged bars once again for breaking licence conditions.

A HM Prison and Probation Service spokesperson said: “Offenders released on licence are subject to strict conditions and we do not hesitate to recall them to prison if they break the rules.”

It is not clear what violation Connelly made to spark the recall.

Baby P’s father, 60, has since broken his silence over the matter and told the Mirror he was “happy” she would be behind bars.

He has not been told how long or why Connelly was recalled but reckoned it “must be pretty serious”.

“To be honest, I just don’t care about her; when I hear that something has happened I just shrug,” he said.

“She can go to hell for what she did so far as I am concerned. She is nothing to do with me now.”

He is currently in hospital because of long-term health issues and visits his son’s grave whenever possible.

“It will never go away. That’s why I can never forgive her, and I never will,” added the heartbroken father.

Baby P’s brutal killing in 2007 shocked the nation after it emerged there were 60 missed opportunities to save him.

Little Peter suffered more than 50 injuries during an eight-month campaign of cruelty in Haringey, North London.

Connelly’s partner, Steven Barker and his brother Jason Owen were also jailed over his death.

In 2022, the mum was freed from HMP Low Newton under the cover of darkness despite a last-minute plea by then-Deputy PM Dominic Raab.

The Sun pictured 20-stone Connelly back on the streets as she popped to Aldi.

She then returned to her bail hostel at a secret location in the North.

The parole bid was her fourth after losing appeals in 2015, 2017 and 2019 — with officials finding she still posed a threat to the public.

She will now have to face the Parole Board again to be considered for re-release.

How Baby P's death horrified the nation

By Holly Christodoulou

Peter Connelly died in London in 2007 aged just 17 months old after suffering more than 50 injuries.

During an eight-month campaign of cruelty, he was seen 60 times by healthcare professionals and social workers.

Peter’s nightmare began when mum Tracey Connelly invited her new boyfriend Steven Barker to move in during November 2006.

Just months later, a GP noticed bruises on his face and chest and the youngster was placed in the care of a family friend.

The brief break from his abusers ended in January 2007 when he returned home and was later admitted to hospital on two occasions.

Connelly was arrested after medics found Peter was suffering from injuries including two black eyes and swelling on the side of the head.

Despite her arrest, Peter’s ordeal was worsened when Barker’s brother, Jason Owen, moved into the home with a 15-year-old girl.

Social workers visited the house but his evil attackers smeared his face with chocolate to hide his bruises.

On August 3, 2007, Baby P was found dead in his bloodstained cot – just one day after police told Connelly she would not be prosecuted.

A post mortem later revealed he had swallowed a tooth after being punched, was missing fingernails and was suffering from a broken back.

Owen and Barker were convicted causing or allowing the death of a child, which Connelly had earlier pleaded guilty to.
